Our gastronomical adventure takes us to the American Midwest. Okay not really, it’s in Aman Suria Damansara facing the New Klang Valley Expressway that heads to the Subang area. The designation of interest is Betty’s Midwest Kitchen.
Following the directions of Google Maps, it was relatively easy in finding the place as one of my friends worked around the area. The only confusing part at first when we got to that area was determining which one-way street led to the place.

So a bunch of us went to watch a movie at Tropicana City Mall to start off yet another weekend. Realising we had to wait for more than two hours for our movie, we decided to check if there was anything new at San Francisco Steakhouse. Coincidentally it was the night that Datuk Lee Chong Wei got steamrolled by China’s relentless Lin Dan.
The deco of SFSH had not changed much from the last time I visited. It had this dark setting. Though I noticed they had put up some pictures on the wall that actually were nice additions. Oh and also a few televisions mounted on the wall and a projector with a large canvas placed in the outdoor area. All of which were showing the Thomas Cup live.

Errands take me back to Tropicana City Mall and inevitably in search of lunch. I have long been procrastinating in trying out this place called Taiwan Street since its opening which was relatively late compared to the other existing food joints. This is not to be mistaken for the other place known as Shihlin Taiwan Street that serves roadside stall type snacks.

The deco was vibrant and mostly bright pink and had their drinks station right in the middle of the shop. Going over the menu items, I noticed that their style of dishes were rather similar to that of the Hong Kong cuisine like the peanut butter on a square thick toast. If you have been to places like Kim Gary, you will know what I’m talking about.

Anyone who knows me would gather, sooner or later that I am rather fond of burgers and sandwiches. Most meat between a pair of carb brackets. A while back, a friend of mine kept on telling me about how he wanted to try this relatively new place that specialized in making burgers. Not just any ordinary burgers, gourmet burgers. I decided to give it a try myself a few days ago, having my girlfriend accompany me.
