Ingredients
- 1 packet of dried yee mee
- 250g chicken, sliced
- 250g prawns
- 200g fishcake, sliced
- 500g choy sum
- 2 tbsp garlic, chopped
- 2 tsp thick black sauce
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 750 ml chicken stock
- 5 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic and stir till brown.
- Add sliced chicken, prawns and fishcake.
- Pour in chicken stock. Add the yee mee, black sauce and soya sauce. Cook for 5 minutes then add choy sum.
- Add salt to taste and allow to cook for another 10 minutes or until the noodles are soft.
Food Notes
- The gravy should be slightly thick. Add a little water if it gets too dry, as yee mee tends to soak up quite a bit of the gravy when cooked.
- Do not overcook the noodles. The texture of the noodles should be soft but chewy.
