Ingredients
- 250-300g choy tham (or any green vegetables)
- 1 tsp garlic, finely chopped
- 3-4 slices ginger
- ½ tsp sugar
- ½ tsp light soya sauce
- 4-5 medium prawns (optional)
- 1 piece fish cake, sliced (optional)
- ¼ cup water
- Cornflour mixed with water
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt
Method
- Soak and wash the vegetables. Set aside.
- Heat up the oil in a pan. Add in the garlic, ginger, prawns and fish cake. Stir briefly until the garlic is lightly browned.
- Add the vegetables, followed immediately by the sugar, soya sauce and water.
- Stir vegetables and ensure the prawns are cooked. After about 2-3 minutes add the salt and cornflour paste to lightly thicken the sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Food Notes
- Do not overcook the vegetables. They should taste crunchy when served.
