Ingredients
- 50 g butter
- 1 cup cornmeal / Polenta
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220°C.
- Pour the cornmeal in a large mixing bowl.
- Sift the flour and baking powder together into the bowl. Mix all dry ingredients together.
- Heat the milk and butter together in a pan until the butter melts.
- Pour into the flour and mix well.
- Add in the egg and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan and bake for 25 minutes.
